Wonderwall Postcard - Project 2

backbeat the word was on the street that the fire in your heart is out
i'm sure you've heard it all before but you never really had a doubt

I just gave my presentation on this postcard for my creative interpretation class last night. It's my second of four postcards I'm doing to visually interpret the song Wonderwall by Oasis.

And now it's spring break time! YAY! Although, in a designer's world, is there ever really time for a break?

Elephante (ele-fawn-tay)

Here is my slightly revised "George." I've changed the trunk and took away some of the highlights on the trunk and lip. I also added some pink to the pipe and some bubbles coming out of the pipe. I was trying to add some pink or purple to the elephant but it wasn't working well with my texture. Perhaps in the future I will try to add more color when I have more time to add it in so it looks good with the texture.

I like the changes to the pipe but I'm not so sure about the changes to the face. The trunk looks a little flat to me and I don't like the pink in the mouth.

Dancing Elephant!!

My spot illustration for "an elephant, pipe, and fez hat."

He's so happy dancing in the bubbles!

Creative Interpretation Project 1

For my creative interpretation class we had to choose a piece of literature and create 4 projects from that throughout the semester. Each of my projects will be a postcard with a matching stamp. I chose the song "Wonderwall" by Oasis and this is how my first project turned out.

I used the pictures above to create this...... (set on a purple background, that's not part of the final project)

"today is gonna be the day that they're gonna throw it back to you, by now you shoulda somehow realized what you gotta do"

Class Exercise

I found a picture of a kid online and painted him with as many colors as I could :)

Don't judge me on this.
